Shiatsu, originating from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), is a massage technique aimed at releasing blockages in the body’s meridian system, thus supporting the self-healing process. Shiatsu, meaning „finger pressure“ in Japanese, involves using hands, elbows, and knees to release meridian blockages, allowing the life force (Chi) to flow freely. It enhances overall well-being in body, mind, and spirit and has a significant impact on self-healing, particularly in cases of stress and injuries.

Shiatsu can alleviate various conditions including headaches, migraines, neck and shoulder pain, back and joint pain, concentration difficulties, energy depletion, exhaustion, burnout, and general stress. It can also promote relaxation and maintain health. A Shiatsu session typically begins with a brief consultation and is performed with the client clothed on a futon.

Structural Alignment:

Structural alignment addresses tension imbalances in muscles and connective tissues, which can lead to misalignments and pain in the bones. By rebalancing these tensions, adjustments to joints, spine, and pelvis can be better integrated and sustained in the long term. It involves deep and firm massage of connective tissues to release tension disparities and realign misaligned joints.

A typical session lasts one hour and costs 132 CHF. The initial session lasts approximately 90 minutes (198 CHF) due to a consultation. Many health insurance companies cover a significant portion of the treatment costs, provided you have supplementary insurance (complementary medicine). Please check with your insurer for exact reimbursement details. Monthly invoices for insurance claims are provided.

Please wear long, comfortable clothing and socks for the treatment. Natural textiles without excessive buttons, zippers, or hoods simplify the process.

It’s advisable not to eat 1-2 hours before the treatment. Shiatsu is not suitable for fever. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours before the appointment, otherwise, the full fee will be charged. Late cancellations will be invoiced, and these costs cannot be claimed from the insurance.

Recognition as Shiatsu Therapist:
I am a member of the Shiatsu Gesellschaft Schweiz and recognized by all major health insurance registers under the ZSR number: K807061, including EMR, ASCA, Visana, SNE/EGK, and individual insurer lists.

I hold the Federal Diploma as a Complementary Therapist, specializing in Shiatsu.
